The RPE Scale and Strength Training
Rate of Perceived Exertion (RPE) is a subjective measurement tool that athletes and coaches can use to monitor and track internal load of training sessions.
We can use the RPE scale when assessing any activity that we compete. For this example of Strength Training and RPE, we can refer to measuring the individual Set, Exercise, or total workout session.
It’s a simple, easy, and effective way to subjectively track and monitor your load during and after your strength sessions.
