Game Day Prep for Kids

Updated: Aug 26, 2022

Game day prep for kids:

Do you feel like you need to add a bit extra to your game day preparations? Here are 5 exercises that are easy for not only adults but kids to add to their pre-game prep

1. Heel walks – Great for preparing the feet and shins for running

2. Ankle Walks – Walk the tightrope. Might look tricky but this exercise helps us to get stronger in a weak position so that if we do roll our ankle it will hopefully be not as bad

3. Ankle Jumps – Get springy early! We want to be quick off the ground when sprinting in the game so use this low intensity jump to simulate it

4. Walking Lunge with a twist – Two for one! Get our legs and upper body moving and warm at the same time

5. Side skip into a Lunge – don’t forget some lateral movements. A quality dynamic movement that adds a bit of a stretch in there as well

5 simple exercises that you can do to go that extra step in order to prepare your body for the demands of the game before you start the teams warm up

Give them a go!
