A breakdown of the hurdle run –
One of the first things we teach our youth athletes is good knee and foot position. But how does that look in action.
A hurdle run is a great way to teach kids to get up into that high knee position while in motion but at slower speed than sprinting so that they can concentrate on the technique
Big things we want to tick off include
- Smooth speed of movement
- Good knee and foot position
- Arms and Legs working together
- Alignment of foot, knee hips (from front on)
Check out some of our youth athletes nailing some of these key
components
